If you are looking for something new and exciting to do in town come down to The Bare Slate to create a unique décor piece, wood sign, cozy blanket, etc while enjoying time with friends, family or even a fun date night. Public and private art classes and workshops are available. We even offer virtual options as well!
When you arrive, our friendly instructors will greet you and you will find all your needed supplies and project base waiting for you on our worktables, we handle everything else for you. Our instructors are there to guide you through the necessary steps, finishing your piece that is now custom to you and your space. Our workshops welcome every skill level.
Our Story
The Bare Slate opened this August - 2020. As a family owned and operated business, we wanted to provide a fun, learning and interactive experience for all our customers. Susie Hallman
Susie grew up in Riverdale, NY and moved to CT in 2005. While working the majority of her career in the IT industry, she is happy to finally being using her Studio Art degree and living her dream as the new owner of The Bare Slate. Susie and her husband Thomas as the proud parents of their beautiful son Levi. They reside in Trumbull with their dog Bailey.
