The Bare Slate, we take care of everything for your craft party! We provide all the materials, handle the set-up, and even take care of the clean-up afterward. No prior experience is needed—our friendly instructors will guide you through each step of the process. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy fun and creative experience with your friends and family!
Our Story
The Bare Slate opened in August - 2020. As a family owned and operated business, we wanted to provide a fun, learning and interactive experience for all our customers. What sets us apart from the rest is our ability to customize our offering to customers’ needs, as well as our fantastic team! Read through our site to learn more, or simply get in touch.
As of May 2025, The Bare slate closed our brick and mortar studio and has pivoted to be a off-site arts and crafts business. Please stay updated with our events and workshops happening at venues near you!
Susie Hallman
Susie grew up in Riverdale, NY and moved to CT in 2005. While working the majority of her career in the IT industry, she is happy to finally being using her Studio Art degree and living her dream as the new owner of The Bare Slate. Susie and her husband Thomas as the proud parents of their beautiful son Levi. They reside in Trumbull with their dog Bailey.
